Team Leader: Director of International Programs
& Special Projects
Alternate: Senior Secretary
The Director of IPSP will be notified by the Provost and Vice President
of Academic Affairs once a decision to close the campus has been made. Upon
notification of campus closure the Director will:

Department procedures will be put in place to notify any students currently out
of country or preparing to travel out of country on study abroad related course
work of emergency and instruct them in how best to reach office personnel if the
need arises by using the contact information that is kept on all students
traveling on study abroad programs

Monitor news available regarding situation and remain in contact with department
staff
·
Monitor news available regarding areas of world where any study abroad students
are located
·
If phone service is operational at university each department staff member will
call in from remote location as soon as possible and record message for incoming
calls regarding closure and pertinent information
·
Evaluate damage to department and report to ERT
·
Maintain communication with ERT team and administration
·
Coordinate with Information Technology to assure there is at least one computer
up and running in order to communicate with students both out of country and
preparing depart for study abroad course
·
Coordinate with Information Technology to update department Web site with any
pertinent information for students
·
Coordinate with Human Resources to make necessary arrangements to prepare time
and effort reporting for payroll
·
Maintain current contact information for all department employees and students
studying abroad
·
Evaluate how departmental procedure works and plan and revise if necessary for
any future emergency affecting the department
