Budget hearings will be held on Tuesday, January 29 and
Wednesday, January 30. The hearing schedule can be found
on the Budget Department web site at

The hearings are open to all faculty, staff, and
students who wish to attend. The Planning and Budgeting
Instructions are available at

Your budget presentation should include the following:
- Completed Unit Performance-Indicators form.
- Goals and strategies for the unit for FY09 which may be a one page narrative.
- A description of how new resources for FY2007-08
allocated to you as part of the previous planning
processes are being used.
- Budget Request forms.
This is the second year of the biennium so no additional
state funding is available. Therefore, requests for new
funding should be exceedingly prudent.
Funding for the merit raises is not yet known.
Therefore, merit consideration will not be included in
the budget hearings. If merit is available, separate
instructions detailing merit compensation will be
distributed at a later date.
