APA Quick Reference Guide: This handout is divided into two sections: (1) discusses APA documentation in text and (2) discusses APA documentation on the reference page. It also contains tips for writing an APA title page, the abstract, and the reference page. This handout is not intended to be a complete reference, but it does provide guidelines for the most common elements used by students writing research papers. (PDF 108 KB): This handout lists major changes in MLA documentation style from the sixth edition of the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers to the seventh edition of the style manual.
